How to Assemble a Desktop Computer

A Computer is a device that in a way is a true friend of human beings. Computer lessens out all the work that is burden for us some decades back. A data of thousands and thousands of file can be stored in one system only. It helps us in a way that, say there a thousand files and we have to get a specific data of one of those file of only one page. Searching this page will turn out to be a good challenge. How computers can be assembled? People want to assemble their own computer as per there requirement. We can assemble a good computer in our place itself. Assembling a desktop Computer is not as hectic task as it sounds. You just have to follow some steps or procedure to make a good blasting computer system. Here are some basic requirements which are needed to assemble a computer system. Firstly you will need a lot of working even space, you must have an anti static wrist wrap, Phillips head screwdriver, needle pliers. Some of the optional requirements as follows: electric tape, a second working computer looking for tips, nylon ties or wires. Keeping the following things in mind you can assemble the well equipped, advance and a real fast computer:

  • Take Inventory

Taking Inventory is all about observing all your parts you’ve gathered for assembling. If you don’t have everything you require don’t start with your task as it leads to a break point. Determination in following every step is must. Say you have every this required but you don’t have a RAM. Your computer cannot even start without it. Every part of a computer system has its own importance and own particular task. So, better not forget even a single step, which leads you to a failure in future.

  • Make Space

Assembling a PC takes some space like a dining table. Also you need is minimum interruption and full concentration. Working on flat table or floor is preferred. Also you have to keep in mind that there should not be dust in the place where you assemble your system. Dust is quite harmful thing for your computer.

  • Prepare for Grounding Protection

If you are working on a bare floor or in case you don’t have a carpet then you can use a wrist strap. Wear this wrist strap correctly is must because it will give you no protection if it is used in wrong way. It provides you with sufficient amount of earth current so that you are safe when you deal with current.

  • Keep the Drivers Ready

Make sure that you have all the latest drivers available with you. See that you have the latest drivers because it helps you a lot during installations. You will find that you can do nothing even after you assembled your system because you need different drivers to make use of what you assembled.

  • Install the Motherboard

This step needs a great care. Take out board from the bag. Take a good look for any visible defect. Now review the manual just to make sure that you know about all the sockets. Usually manual are easy to handle and include good illustrations. Mother board can be termed as the heart of a computer system. Therefore any crack, scratch on its integrated circuit can lead to a failure.

  • Install the Processor

Again a Great care step. No power, proceed with soft hands. Use the lever to open the CPU socket. Carefully lineup the pins and place the processor. Use the lever to lock the processor. If you don’t lineup the pins carefully you might find some of them broken which can cause a great problem in you processor as well as motherboard.

  • Install CPU Heat Sink

It is the fan that cools the processor. It is placed over the processor. You have to attach the clip with a good amount of force.

  • Install RAM

To install RAM you have to insert it into the sockets. Push down RAM firmly till it gets locked. See that you place it carefully then push it down. If you push it without being coordinated with its socket it can show different errors interrupting the working of your machine.

  • To Place Motherboard into The case

Carefully put the motherboard into the case settling down all the sockets at the back of CPU. Screw up the board in the case. Since we discuss before dealing with the mother board needs a lot of care. While doing this you will find yourself very less space to work with in a CPU case. So, it’s better not to apply power handle these with care.

  • Connecting Power Supply

Connect the ATX power connector to the motherboard. Now connect the square processor power connector which has black and yellow wire in it. Also attach the tiny power leads.

  • Connecting Other Hardware

Connect Keyboard, mouse, monitor to their respective color coded sockets or male-female sockets. If you have to connect any external device like printer, scanner etc then do it now.

  • Turn On the PC

Turn on the PC as all the work of assembling is done, install the OS followed by drivers and enjoy your computer.
